I’m your favorite customer’s favorite designer.

Currently freelancing & contracting with:
Agencies & Design Studios
Product Development Firms
B2C & B2B Businesses
Start ups & Small Businesses

I've been the kid reading the room since I was old enough to have a room to read. It's the same instinct that pulls me toward design now… paying attention to how people actually feel about the thing they're using, not just how they're supposed to feel about it.

That's the work I'm trying to do for clients: build products and brands that don't just function, but that the people on the other side of them actually like being around.

When I'm not nerding out on design, you'll find me at a live show somewhere in Grand Rapids, inventing fictional products that may or may not ever exist, swimming in the backyard, crafting with my besties, or losing entire evenings to Steam.

And of course there's Belle, my dog and daily reminder that naps and snacks are a legitimate productivity strategy.

Thanks for stopping by.

Warmest,
Hope

How We’d Work Together

From fractional, to full-time, here’s what a typical engagement looks like.

  • 20 minutes, free. We figure out if research is what you actually need.

  • A written proposal with scope, timeline, and an hourly estimate.

  • Typically 2–6 weeks depending on scope.

  • Creating and testing our research assumptions via working prototypes. I test directly with users to validate ideas.

  • A working document and/or training that your team can use long after the engagement ends.

Let’s Work Together

         WHY SO MUCH TEAL?

My favorite side of the color wheel.

Turquoise, Teal, Aqua, Aquamarine, Cyan. I just love that blue-green goodness of any shade opacity and vibrancy. It represents to me the nostalgia of growing up in the 90’s but also my chill vibes.
I always lean toward a bold, punchy color choice for a brand (anything but red really - yuck.)

Meet Belle,
Chief Snack Officer.

Belle is behind the scenes on every call, through every teams or zoom meeting.

She’s otherwise known as:
Bellamy Wellington
Belly Welly
BillBo Doggins
BillyBob
